Can anyone see my member page?
No, only registered members of the site can see other member’s pages.

Is my personal information confidential?
Your personal information is totally confidential and can only be seen by the website owner. For administrative purposes your alias, and page settings are visible to trusted site administrators who have no access to your personal information. If you forget your password you can have an administrator change it for you but even the administrator doesn't know what your password is once you change it to one of your own.
 

IMAGES:
How do I upload images?
You can upload both your larger profile image and your small signature image through settings on your member page. Log into your member page, and from the top menu click on settings. At the bottom of the settings page click browse to select an image from your hard drive to upload to your page. All images must be in the .jpeg, .jpg, or .bmp file format. You can upload one or both of your images at one time. Once you have selected your image(s) click ‘Upload Images’ and your pictures will appear on your member page. Upload time may vary depending on the size of your images. (To find out if your image is in the right format right click on it and select properties. This will tell you how big your image is and what type it is.)


JOURNALS:
How do I make a new journal entry?
On your member home page, click “new” under your journal. A new page will appear. Write in your subject and journal entry and then click “save”. Your new journal entry will appear on your member page.

How long can a single journal entry be?
Each journal can be up to 8000 characters long (roughly 1300 words).


How many journal entries can I make?
That's up to you. Your member page will keep links to as many journal entries as you like.

How do I edit or delete a journal entry?
Directly under your journal is a link to your past journals ('Read More Journals By...'. Click the link to the journal you would like to alter. Your entry will appear on a new page. You can either edit your writing and then click “save”, or click delete to erase this entry from your member page. To alter your current journal entry click “edit” shown directly below your journal and follow the above instructions.


AFFINITIES:

What are affinities?
Affinities are other members of the site who you would like to be able to find again easily. Once a member is added to your affinities list you can easily navigate to their page by clicking “affinities” from the top menu of your member page and then clicking their name.

How do I add a member to my affinities?
Go to the page of the member you would like to add and click the link “add (member) to my affinities” listed below their name in the upper left hand corner of their page. Now this member will be listed in your affinities. You can also add an affinity by clicking “affinities” in the top menu of your member page, typing their name in the form at the bottom of your affinities list and clicking save.

How do I delete a member from my affinities?
Click “affinities” from the top menu of your member page. Find the name of the member you would like to remove and click the “delete” button beside their name. This member will now be removed from your affinities list. Once you have deleted an affinity you can re-add them at any time.
 

QUESTIONNAIRE:
How do I answer the questions on my member page?
Log into your member page, and from the top menu click on “settings”. Under each question there is a space for your answer. Write in your answers and then click “Update Answers”. Now your answers will appear on your member page. You can go back into settings at any time to change your answers.
 

MEMBERS:
How do I find other members?
The best way to find other members is through the comments streams under articles. You can click on the member name or signature image of any commenting member to view their page. You can also click on 'Member List' from any homepage or the community homepage to  see a selection of current members. You must be logged in to see member pages.

How do I make an objection against a member?
You can post an objection against a member anywhere on the site where comments are made. Objections are made to the administrators of the site and are not visible to other members. To object to a member in a comments stream under an article, click “Post Objection” On the forum box under the comments. In the new window briefly describe your objection and from the drop-down list select the member you are objecting against. Then click submit. To object to a member on their page, write your comment in their general comments form on the bottom right of their page and select Objection from the “Type” drop down menu. Then click “add comment”. Abuse of this function is a policy violation and will not be tolerated.


COMMENTS:
How do I make a comment on an article?
At the bottom of selected articles are form boxes where you can write comments. You must be logged in to make comments. Log into your member page and then navigate to the article you would like to comment on. You can return to your member page at any time by clicking “Login” on the left menu and then clicking “My Member Page”.

How long can a single comment be?
Comments can be up to 8000 characters, roughly 1300 words.


How do I make a comment on a member page/member’s journal?
You can leave members general comments or comment specifically on their journals. To leave a general comment, write your comment in the form box at the bottom right of their member page and then click “add comment”. To comment on a member’s journal write your comment in the form box at the bottom left of their member page and then click “add comment”. To add a comment to a member’s past journal entry click on the link to their journal entry listed under 'Read More Journals by...' and then write your comment in the form box at the bottom of the page and click “add comment”.

Can anyone see comments I make on articles?
Yes, comments made on articles are visible to anyone visiting the site. Comments made on member pages are only visible to other members.

Can I make more than one comment on a single article?
Yes. You can make as many comments as you like.


REGISTRATION SETTINGS:
How do I change my member name/alias?
Once you have registered under an alias you cannot change it. The member name you choose when signing up becomes your permanent identity on the site.

How do I change/add my website address?

How do I change my email address?
Click on “settings” from the top menu of your member page. On the settings page click “registration settings”. Alter your email address and then click save. Be sure to enter a valid email address. You must click on “read agreement” and click “I agree” every time you make changes to your registration settings. After you are done making changes click “My Member Page” To return to your page.

How do I change my password?
Click on “settings” from the top menu of your member page. On the settings page click “registration settings”. Enter your new password in both the password and confirm password fields. Click save. You must click on “read agreement” and click “I agree” every time you make changes to your registration settings. After you are done making changes click “My Member Page” To return to your page.

How do I change my phone number/location?
Click on “settings” from the top menu of your member page. On the settings page click “registration settings”. Enter your new phone number and/or address. Click save. You must click on “read agreement” and click “I agree” every time you make changes to your registration settings. After you are done making changes click “My Member Page” To return to your page.
